    Snow Depth at Falls Creek

This graph shows the depth of snow at Falls Creek throughout the snow season averaged between 1983 and 2003. Of course, snow is a notoriously unpredictable thing, and next year could be anywhere between record-high and record-low. However, the minimum snow depth line (red) shows that in the last 20 years there has always been at least some snow after mid-July even in the worst season. The snow is at its deepest in late August- early September, with nearly three metres recorded in one year.
