federation peak & eastern arthur range

Nestled deep in the heart of the South-West Tasmania World Heritage Area, Federation Peak is probably Australia’s most recognisable and distictive mountain. With sheer cliffs of solid quartzite dropping an impressive 600m into the coffee coloured waters of Lake Geeves, 'Federation' is the major goal of many serious bushwalkers around Australia and the world.

These images were taken in December 2003 during a 10-day trip to Federation Peak and the Eastern Arthurs. If you would like more information on this walk, please feel free to email us.
